Want to be more self-reliant on your bike? Learn the basics to keep yourself on the road in a pinch and long-term, so you can confidently go farther and be the boss of your bike. Join us for an evening of hands-on learning and community-building. We’ll cover the most common on-the-road repair issues like flat fixes, chain repair and broken spoke remedies as well as long-term care for your bike.
Wednesday, November 7th from 6-8pm.
Please pre-register here and pay a sliding-scale fee (if the minimum $10 isn’t doable for you, please contact Becky@goldenpliers.com and we’ll make arrangements).
We encourage biking to the event but we don’t have room inside the shop for everyone’s bike. Instead we’ll use a demo bike and slide show to teach the class.
This event is reserved for cyclists identifying as women, trans*, femme, and non-binary, and will be led by two women-identified veteran cyclists. We aim to hold a safer space for the WTF community, and also see this as an opportunity for people to connect. We welcome the discussions that so often pop up in the WTF community—safety, health, friendship, otherness, and tearing down the patriarchy.
